JOB SUMMARY:

Grady Health Foundation is seeking a Development Associate to assist in managing a portfolio of major and mid-level philanthropic partners helping to meet significant annual revenue goals for the Grady Health Foundation. The Development Associate will report to the Development Officer to support building relationships with individual donors and will help create and implement tailored strategies to close and retain gifts of $5,000 . Additionally, this role will participate in corporate engagement initiatives, including securing sponsorships and philanthropic gifts. The Development Associate will collaborate with other members of the Foundation team to drive annual fundraising strategies that support the priorities of Grady Health System.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3 years of front-line experience in fundraising preferred including a focus on individual giving, corporate partnerships and portfolio management
  • Proven record of cultivating, soliciting and stewarding prospects
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to engage and build meaningful relationships with a diverse array of individuals
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently to achieve individual goals, while being able to strategize and collaborate with team members to accomplish organizational goals
  • Experience using CRM/Database Management platform; Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge Preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of healthcare and health equity issues preferred
